Metro Spirit  12-18-07 Gear up as the Hellblinki Sextet and 12 Bands of Christmas return to their downtown stomping grounds by Coco Rubio Andrew Benjamin, one of the most creative and entertaining local artists ever, is bringing his brand of gypsy-pirate-punk-blues to the Soul Bar on Thursday, Dec. 13. Along for the ride is a great one-man band, Smokestack, from the woods of north Georgia. Music starts around 10:30 p.m. Currently living in Asheville, N.C., with Amy and their little pirate Oliver, Andrew has led The Hellblinki Sextet up and down the east coast several times in the past few years in search of musical booty and wine.
